Walking Black Home from School is a poem that I wrote based on a scenario that too many Black boys have experienced. I believe that our Black boys endure so much and that a change needs to happen. I don't want them to feel as though they are targets or threats when they are simply just trying to get home, get to school, or anywhere else. No one should be targeted because of the color of their skin, but unfortunately for Black males this has been a reality for many years.
