The Two Loves of Aunt Emma is a tender tale steeped in mystery about a lady held in high esteem by everyone but one person. It is a story told from the perspective of her nephew and her closest friend. Based on many true incidents, and woven with insight and surprise, Aunt Emma seems to be a warm, caring person who does what is expected of any good person. But is she? As a child, she believes she has met the love of her life, and makes plans to find the happiness she dreams about. But it is interrupted by WWII and unbelievable tragedy happens to both him and her as they become prisoners of war. Love is gained and love is lost, and then lost love is found anew. Nothing in life is as it seems and adjustments must be made especially after each arrives back at home and finds things are not like they used to be. Aunt Emma is forced into circumstances that causes her to place her life on hold while she must deal with the lives of others she feels she is responsible for. Slowly and steadily those she loves are taken away from her and she begins to lose sight of her hope to find happiness and contentment. Will she give up? Is she the woman that everyone says she is? Will she overcome the diversity she faces . . . or will the diversity overcome her where she never finds that joy she believes is waiting for her? You decide by stepping back in time, put yourself in her shoes and uncover what wisdom she learned.
