Every community has an outstanding member who stands out above all the rest. In the Pleasant Hill Community Mama Miller was that person. She was the patriarch of her family and her husband Jimbo was proud to allow her the position. She was a devoted church member and the pianist. Her spirit was extended to the church members by the way she played the piano, and exercised her superior alto voice. They Miller's were a colorful family and wealthy cotton plantation owners. Mama Miller enjoyed showing off her wealth in lavish Christmas decorations, expensive jewelry, fine clothes, and classy cars. She had an over-weight daughter who was constantly getting into trouble. In order to protect her daughter Mama Miller became involved in some of her troubles, in which the end results were not always positive. Nevertheless, her daughter finally graduated from high school and landed a good paying job in the city. Over the years I have written much about the Miller's. I have extended the Miller family through the book THE MAMA MILLER LOVE STORY. There have many books about love stories, but none have shown more vividly the devotion of a husband to his wife as Jimbo Miller did during the time of the illness of Mama Miller.
