This is volume I, which covers Revelation chapters 1-12.

In this book I want to remain faithful to the "old paths." "Thus saith the Lord, Stand ye in the ways, and see, and ask for the old paths, where is the good way, and walk therein, and ye shall find rest for your souls." -- Jer. 6:16. "The old paths" were followed by faithful theologians long before the Protestant Reformation. The reason that many do not understand and therefore misinterpret the book of Revelation is that the Church has forgotten its heritage.

I admit straightaway that I do not understand everything in the book. No one can, because some of it is unfulfilled predictive prophesy. However, most of the events have occurred, and because of that we can make informed guesses, guided by all of Scripture, as to what the difficult unfulfilled predictive prophetic passages could mean. What you are about to read is not what many books about Revelation offer. This book is not about the author's interpretations. My goal is to bring three far better interpreters to Revelation to you: First and foremost, Scripture itself. Second, I will bring the opinions of the finest minds of the Church, because they have passed the test of time. On those occasions when these men are significantly divided on the meaning of a passage I will quote their interpretations.

Third, I will bring world history to your attention, because history reveals prophecy. May the Lord use this book to His glory.
