In a small southern town where it's easier for blacks and whites to live with little to no interaction. White young adult male, Aiden bumps into black young adult female, Ember late one night in a field, while intoxicated. A relationship ensues as he believes she is a hallucination. But the tables turn when they bump into each other at college where Aiden in not intoxicated. He must now discover what's real and what's not about their relationship, at the cost of both their happiness, all while going up against racial barriers.
