Remember a time in your life when the wine tasted sweeter and the sky seemed bluer? Maybe it was so or maybe it is just that way in our memories. Did everything happen as I remember or has my perception of events changed two decades later? I don't know for sure. I do remember the smell of the leather seats of that expensive car and the feeling of my khaki skorts on a hot New York summer. I remember being young, naïve and in love. The two short stories in this book are not related in any other way in that they are both a part of my life story.
