The Analysis of Mind
Bertrand Russell
Bertrand Arthur William Russell (Trellech, May 18, 1872 - Penrhyndeudraeth, February 2, 1970) was a British logician, philosopher, mathematician and authoritative exponent of the pacifist movement. In The Analysis of Mind, one of his most influential books, Russell presents a synthesis between the materialism of psychology and the anti-materialism of modern physics. Russell discusses many concepts such as belief, habit, desire, memory, meaning, which constitute a fundamental and influential point for subsequent theories of the mind. It remains one of the most important works on the philosophy of mind today. This book established a new conception of the mind and provided one of the most original and interesting treatises on knowledge.
