There is a Spanish and English version to each recipe, and so, it can be used as a regular recipe book but to help you take your Spanish to the next level, I have written each recipe in a different tense - present, past and future. Each recipe is presented in a story format. The language used in each recipe has been carefully designed to be simple, straightforward and repetitive enough so after you prepare 3-4 recipes you will start recognising some phrases and can use them in other contexts too. The translations from English to Spanish are as close as possible, sentence by sentence. I have included a vocabulary and grammar section, which you can refer to for a wider explanation on conjugations. The ingredients used in these recipes are easy to find worldwide making it easy to just start cooking.
