A tragic but beautiful story with subtle humour throughout

An intriguing tale that holds you from start to finish

Brilliantly gripping. Highly recommended

The scenery was dramatic, the wildlife stunning. But Buster could not help feeling that something was wrong on the island. Something very wrong indeed!

December 1982: Petty Officer Vince (Buster) Brown and two shipmates are landed by helicopter on a remote, supposedly long-abandoned island to spend twenty-four hours camping and exploring. The men are surprised when they find a family living in the old farmhouse but think no more about it. The couple's two children appoint themselves as guides and lead the men to all the choice places to see the island's unique marine fauna. But something seems out of place. There are unexplained events. And the men begin to experience inexplicable melancholy and strange sensations of splitting realities. The incidents become ever more bizarre until the men make a macabre discovery just before the helicopter comes to collect them.

Thirty years later, the former sailor takes his teenage daughter back to the island at the other end of the World for her dream wildlife safari. But from the moment of landing, the past returns to haunt him.
