Rose Keegan is a beautiful, young woman from Tennessee. She was raised by Novita Fox, a friend of the family, after both her parents died in a car accident when she was a baby. Rose knows her parents died at a young age and she has also been told that her grandmother died giving birth to her mother in New Orleans. But as an adult, Rose struggles with wondering if there's more to that story. So, Rose decides to head down to New Orleans to find out the truth. Rose's car breaks down in Ruby River, Louisiana, just north of New Orleans. She pulls into a car repair shop, where she meets Robby Creed, who takes her on a tour around town over the weekend as she waits for her car to be repaired. She also meets a Beautiful Mystery man, Sebastian Foster, who saves Rose's life while he melts her heart, despite the cool temperature of his body. After spending the weekend with Robby...and having her heart melted by the Cool, Beautiful Mystery hero, Sebastian, Rose almost decides to stay in Ruby River... Meanwhile... Robby is torn between wanting to fall in love with Rose, and wanting her to leave Ruby River as he tries to fight the demons of his past.
