A murder mystery set on Fire Island at the time of the terrorist attack on the World Trade Center in Manhattan. The police forces of Long Island are drawn into the work at Ground Zero, leaving an ex-private investigator, Daisy Fleabane, and a part-time Fire Island police officer to solve the crime.
