Becoming A Butterfly
Matthew Harvey
Becoming A Butterfly is a book of poetry, proses, and other forms of writing that cover a range of everyday themes we're all familiar with - depression, anxiety, love, breakup, anger, regret, body image, infidelity, and healing. The collection is the first book of its series and it isn't specific to any gender, race, or sexuality. It is a book for real people with real issues, of all adult ages. The sections outline the experiences of the author during a vulnerable period in his youth where he left home on one end of his island, Jamaica, to start University on the opposite end. During this time he was learning how to be smart and fearless in a big adult world and ended up making huge mistakes, having some really high moments, and other times, trying his best to stay alive.
