Evan and Sheila's fragile marriage falls apart when he confesses an affair with a male lover on the same day their house is destroyed in a major fire. But shattered lives are not as easily rebuilt as physical structures. First, they must each understand the various threads that brought them to where they are, and then decide what paths to take. Along the way, Evan's parents and adopted Korean brother, Sheila's friend Karen, a narcissistic Shakespearean actor and a Jamaican single dad unknowingly hold pieces of the puzzle. Similar to the way a single spark can start a fire that upends the lives of thousands, Evan can see a glimmer of hope from a mysterious woman that he met in India years before. Starting with a small town in Southern Oregon, but spanning several continents, watch as both Evan and Sheila re-weave the tapestry of their lives.
