It also pays attention to how well the description given in the poem can be established in place names and other monuments that have been discovered or might be expected to be found at later dates. The author will trace information to found in the North East such as churches, castles and other sites that fit to the description given in Völuspá and other old poems from Iceland such as Grímnismál in Snorri's Edda.
