Marcus is almost sixteen years old when his father is promoted at work. For the first time, he must move and leave behind all of his friends and family. With his parents and young sister, he leaves the only home he has ever known to move to a new town where he does not know anyone and into a new house that he soon discovers used to be owned by a suspected murderer. The previous owner, Tobias, was suspected of murdering five people before he disappeared and has not been heard from in forty years. Marcus finds a journal that belonged to Tobias and begins having vivid nightmares, where he is visited by Tobias. Soon after, teenagers begin to disappear and Marcus is left wondering. Has Tobias returned? Is someone else taking the teens? What do the dreams mean? Is Marcus the next victim or is he to blame?
