Caroline Leland has written The Flustered Windowsill novella for the young reader. It is a small adventure in the everyday world with a young girl heroine, Ellie, on a visit to HumpbackIsland in Casco Bay, Maine, with her Aunt Sophy for the Christmas Holiday. Ellie makes new friends and partakes in an unusual event that enlightens her young life. This is the fourth book in a series about Ellie and her Aunt. The first three books in the series are: The Cantankerous Bed and The Blue Heron; The Expectant Chair; and The Determined Sofa; and each has won a Purple Dragonfly Book award from the Story Monsters LLC.
