Evonne Gunther is the quintessential high school English teacher, smart, astute, and independent. She has spent the last three semesters substituting for Mr. Cason, who has been caring for his ailing wife. While working as his substitute, Evonne has gained popularity and notoriety with the students as fun and unexpectedly became an adversary to another teacher, Erika Elliott.
