Against the Odds Jennifer Ann Corgan

Jennifer was born a happy normal little girl into an average household. But she experienced horrific childhood sexual abuse throughout her whole childhood that nearly destroyed her. She was hurt by the very people that were meant to protect her and countless people failed her through the years. She turned to drugs and promiscuity to deal with her pain. She developed mental health problems and spent many years in hospitals and special schools. She also developed an eating disorder that nearly killed her. Through it all, she kept searching for God and for meaning in her life. She eventually married and had children and her problems followed her. It was not until she went to a Christian discipleship program did she find peace, forgiveness, and healing. She was able to beat her past, against the odds and go on to have a happy and productive life. Her desire is for others to see that even with horrific abuse, you can heal from your past and go on to live a vibrant and wonderful life. She was completely open and transparent about her abuse and held nothing back and in it found healing and closure for a past many have not been able to come back from. Her desire is for all abused men and women to find this healing grace and to know they are not alone.
