Dora Cummings, single, feisty and proud, had planned her life after retirement meticulously. She kept herself private and had very little to do with the every-day life of the small village perched on the edge of the South Wales coastline.

She spent her days indulging her twin passions of painting and writing and she was blissfully happy.

But a single act of kindness was to throw everything into disarray. Into her perfect life comes a teenage runaway, a young girl who was to become entwined in Dora's life and who would nearly bring them both crashing down.

Crazy Paving draws on a deep love of the beautiful coastline of South Wales and a belief that age is merely a number.

Gillian Griffiths was born in Bridgend, South Wales and has lived in and around Wales all her life. She worked for over 23 years at the headquarters of South Wales Police before leaving to pursue a career as a self-employed artist. She now divides her time between creating a florilegium of the plants and flowers of Cowbridge Physic Garden and writing fiction.
