Winter Morris and Xavier Fields have been friends since second grade. But when Xavier abruptly moves away, he leaves Winter heartbroken. Thinking their friendship could survive, distance and time gets in the way. Ten years later, the two coincidentally cross paths again.

Living with her boyfriend, Derrick, Winter thinks things are good between them, until she comes home to find another woman in her bed. Furious, she kicks Derrick out in front of the neighbor, including the new heavy-set guy who just moved next door.

Xavier Fields moves back to Virginia with his girlfriend, Sabrina, after his mother is diagnosed with breast cancer. Between dealing with his mother and his unfaithful girlfriend, his only escape is Winter. But all hell breaks loose when her ex gets in the middle.

Jealous of Winter and Xavier's friendship, Derrick goes out of his way to get rid of Xavier, forcing Winter to choose between the two. But when Xavier finally confesses his love for Winter, will it interfere with Derrick's plans?
