It's one or the other: Medical student, Troy Simon, has discovered a dirty case of medical malpractice or unearthed a document that implicates a hospital in an insidious scheme to develop a tract along a pristine Pacific bay. Either way, the twenty-four-year-old Bay Area resident is forced to abandon his studies and run for his life. His flight keeps him in the cross hairs of an unyielding plot to end his life after he bolts from Marin County in California to the Sierras and on to a remote and private Caribbean island where a romantic encounter complicates a mission to remain alive.
