Igbo culture needs to be salvaged from the brink of extinction and the Author must be commended for documenting part of our heritage as a lot of people are dying with their knowledge. In this book, I am happy to see that each story began and ended the way Igbo folktales are told. The utilization of proverbs in the stories should expose the youth to proverbs and also inculcate the habit of using proverbs as the oil to eat words. Furthermore, the moral of the stories should also teach ethics which may help to restore proper values in our society.
