An ongoing court battle between the Goodings and the Highlands, ripped apart the childhood friendship between Beth Highland and Jason Gooding. Now, twenty years later and all grown-up--these two would try to mend the broken fences, put 'by-gones' behind them and seek to renew their friendship.

Jase--a freshman politician--has a lot on his plate and would have to do a delicate balancing act between his career; his family loyalty and the rekindling of a secret love for his childhood friend, Beth, hoping that none of these areas would slip and crash to the ground.

Beth--still unsure of the adult Jase and his advances-- has a little secret of her own that could injure and tarnish her family's standing in their community of Goodland, if her pride doesn't allow her to get some help from the only entity that could help her under the circumstances, which just happens to be Jase.

Outside forces are seeking to help and to hinder Jase's and Beth's fragile, slow-blooming friendship and romance, and both sets of forces are putting together their 'schemes' to achieve their objectives. Who will win in the end?
