As per puranas, originally there were 108 Upanishads. Later some more have been added and now we have 188 Upanishads. Out of these 33 Upanishads are above Sri Devi. Since they talk about Shakti, they are called Shaakta Upanishads. These are very rare and with great difficulty the mantras of these Upanishads are culled out. The mantras are written both in Samskrutam and English. For some of the them the commentary have also been taken from various sources and given in the simple language.
