T. P.1 is dedicated to exploring the ideas of sustainability, democracy and of being "humane" (related to the ones of social justice and empathy), and combines practical (arts) education with academic research and political activism. It aims to contribute to the needed sustainable transformation of our democracies, confronted with the climate and ecological crisis. There is a lot of important research done in the humanities and (arts/drama) education, linking social, economic and ecological sustainability. What T. P.1 sees as the challenge is to provide the link to a societal mindshift ("the social imaginary") and to practical action (changing the educational, health, economic and political system). The booklet presents T. P.1, the idea, the projects and the organization from 2008 to 2019. It presents a short theoretical outline about how to think about the four dimensions of a sustainable, democratic global society: the bodily, interpersonal, social and political space in their complex interaction.
