In reply to 2. c4 this is known as the Baltic Defence, but Bezgodov shows you can also liberate your bishop against 2. Nf3. By freeing your queenside bishop you will (a) surprise your opponet, (b) develop a piece, (c) control the important square e4 (d) immediately solve on of the problems Black faces in queenside openings: the development of the bishop on c8.
