When you love a toxic parent, can you ever break free and let go? For once in my life I've done what I want and applied for a scholarship to DAP; the best graphic design school in the world, in Portugal. I'm bursting with anticipation. There's only one problem. I've never left anyone before and although this is my dream, I've always done what my family wants from me. I'm the girl who always says yes. If I get this scholarship, I can move away from this small Norwegian town and every rule my father's set for me. I'm only worried that no distance in the world will give my mind freedom. It never really has, not the way I've been brought up. One thing's for sure. Not to get in my own way, I'll have to LET GO. But, that's easier said than done when not everyone I love wishes me well.
