Broken Night follows Janice Rosse, a young, rich girl from New York City who is imprisoned for the murders of her three friends. However, she claims they were really killed by something supernatural, something that they conjured one night while attending a bizarre performance art show. Byron is a True Crime writer, who, deciding that there is a book in the girl's bizarre story, begins to interview Janice, feeling an instant connection with the young murderess. After hearing her story (and having a few strange visions himself), he assists Janice in a prison break, setting her loose to go back to where it all began, a nondescript house in the nearby suburbs.
