Aman Mor
India is the second largest producer of cotton in the world (rank next to China only). India shares 21% of world production of cotton. Manual weeding is labour and time consuming, labourous, costly and more fatigue in bending posture to do weeding with manual hand hoe. The weeding operation in cotton represents a significant portion of operation cost. The study on "Performance evaluation of weeders in cotton" was planned and conducted during kharif (summer season) of year 2013-14. Performance evaluation of five different weeding methods was conducted on two varieties of cotton crop.
