The right to life possesses certain priorities as the most important law: without ensuring its proper fulfillment there is no actual sense to talk about other rights and freedoms. It it especially important in the context of armed conflicts, when compliance with right to life becomes more difficult, but at the same time, more vital to ensure. Nowadays means of methods of warfare have drastically changed. It would be important to update international humanitarian rules in order not to leave unregulated gaps in modern warfare. Such perspective could provide further incentive for international humanitarian law.
