David N. L. Levy
This follow-up to the successful chess book How to Play the Sicilian Defence, by the same authors, explains the basic principles of the King's Indian without involving the reader in reams of analysis. Many useful rules and guidelines are given, enabling the reader to understand the ideas behind the opening and the standard types of position which arise. David Levy is an International Master, and a leading chess author whose books include Sicilian Dragon, An Opening Repertoire for the Attacking Player and Benko Counter Gambit. Kevin O'Connell's works include Spanish Ruy Lopez Open and a number of game collections of Karpov and Fischer. He is also chess columnist of London's Evening News. Together they compiled the "Oxford Encyclopedia of Chess Games".
