The image of wolf performs a protective functions, it is more protector than the the ancestor. The origin and development of this image in the world outlook of the nomadic peoples of Central Asia and in the first place among the Turks can be traced on the basis of the analysis of artifacts and image of wolf on the territory of Central Asia. But surely the fact that the elements of the ancient man`s world view survived in a complex of traditional beliefs elements of which have moved into the world religions.
