The rigorous theoretical discussion is enhanced with practical applications and exercises that help understanding and expand the theory for use by the practicing engineer or student. The topics covered in are divided into five chapters, and includes six useful appendixes as well. The chapters included are: Chapter 1: Materials; Chapter 2: Limit state design; Chapter 3: Connections; Chapter 4: Trusses and Bracing; Chapter 5: Beams.
