Apart from diabetic patients, Microalbuminuria is also found in non-diabetic, hypertensive patients. A clinical study was designed to test this hypothesis. With main objectives of finding frequency of Microalbuminuria among non-diabetic, hypertensive patients and studying effects of various co-variates (Age, Lipid profile, BMI, GFR, Smoking)on Microalbuminuria. The frequency of Microalbuminuria among non-diabetic, hypertensive patients was found to be 23.8%; whereas study predicted no significant association of co-variates with Microalbuminuria.
