This book provides some insights on how rural communities can respond to introduction of agroforestry technologies and highlights the factors that can influence farmers? response. The book is based on a study carried out on the agricultural community of Lwiimba Resettlement Scheme (LRS) in Chongwe District, Lusaka rural, Zambia. LRS was deforested and its soils were eroded and degraded before the introduction of agroforestry to the area. The study revealed that farmers responded positively to three selected agroforestry techniques that were introduced and that adopters were enjoying several benefits at the time of the study.
