The improve in growth of plants is important in present day life, where food - and its quality- often falls short. With the steady population growth, it is certainly important to ensure plants used for food and otherwise are grown in optimum conditions and have a high yield. This book covers a study conducted to evaluate the growth response of the bitter gourd plant Momordica charantia to growth regulator treatments of the hormone Gibberellic acid to determine the optimum concentration required for enhanced growth. Gibberellin increases both cell elongation and cell division, as evidenced by increases in cell length and cell number in response to applications of GA. This book should help the botanists and agriculturists around the world to observe the best growth in plants and serve as an example for future publications that also focus on plant growth regulators.
