Psychological contract research has gained favor with organizational researchers over the past several years. The psychological contract framework is the sum of the employer-employee relationship with a focus on the entire relationship and expectations in the workplace versus traditional compensation issues. A recent study found that two-thirds (67.7%) of their sample of Hispanic Business Professionals reported an unfair or violated psychological contract. Other studies found that 50% of racioethnic unspecific samples feel their contract was violated. As with any minority group, issues of great importance surround individual?s perceptions of discrimination, perceptions of fairness, perception of status within that group and the changing nature of these perceptions. The present study focuses on issues of the Hispanic Professional?s perception of psychological contract fairness, level of acculturation, perception of discrimination and the nature of these relationships.
