Traditional medicine based on herbal remedies has always played a key role to cure common diseases like cough, bronchitis and asthma, but also serious diseases like tumor, cancer and AIDS. The study involves the use of a poly herbal drug ?pentapala-04? which consists of five medicinal plants namely Adhatoda vasica, Nees., Ocimum sanctum, Linn., Coleus aromaticus, Benth., Glycyrrhiza glabra, Linn and Alpinia galanga Sw. in the prevention and curation of ova albumin and aluminium hydroxide induced lung damage rats and the influence of vermicompost on the growth parameters and secondary metabolites synthesis of selected medicinal plants.
