Corn or maize is one of the most important food crops of the World. Change in living standards and shift in food habits of people to vegetarianism have made to evolve many vegetables. One such identified vegetable is Baby corn, i.e. immature young corn harvested before fertilization. Owing to high nutritional values, sweet in taste, succulent and delicious in nature, it has spread over the globe. It is a new plant type, short duration and completes its life cycle within 75 days. Development of suitable agronomic practices is a felt need for obtaining higher productivity, better quality and ultimately more income to the farmers. Alteration of crop geometry, intercropping and integrated nutrient management has been experimented to achieve enhanced production and profitability besides contributing better nutrition to vegetarian population.
