Vultures occupy a very specialized position in the ecosystem. They help in sustaining the natural ecosystem by dispensing off the dead by feeding upon them that their role in the food web of nature is unique as universe cleaners. A global alarm has been raised regarding the drastically decline of Gyps vultures in their ranges. The critically endangered Asian White Rumped Vulture, Gyps bengalensis are thus choosen to investigate the status of helminth parasites and relation with growth performances. This book presents information on status of gastrointestinal helminth parasites, measures association between helminthes infestation and weight gain in captive vulture, and knowhow of captive vulture management at breeding centre, Kasadra, Nepal.
