Ethno-floristic studies of Bhanvad, Jam Jodhpur, Lalpur area of Gujarat State, India was carried out with a view to take inventory of the flora and establish the varying ways plants are used by the aborigines. A total of 733 plant species distributed into 118 angiosperm families were recorded in the area. The studies indicate that the indigenous people have developed various ways and methods for the utilization of their plant resources. Efforts were made to track and document the customary knowledge and use of these plants. The information is intended to contribute to the current global efforts at safeguarding the loss of indigenous values and knowledge of biological resources. Recently, these forests are under threat due to various human Developmental activities, thus made the wild ethnobotanical species to decline in these areas. The book will be very useful and stimulate further interest and urge among budding Ethnobotanists, Taxonomists as well as in those engaged in work in different disciplines of plant science.
