Fieldwork remains a vital instrument for understanding our world through direct experience as well as fundamental method for enacting geography education. However, Long and short terms effects of fieldwork experience have not been extensively examined. This book is a report of a study investigating the associations between experiential learning and development sustainability in a tertiary academic environment. A cross sectional survey method which cuts across students and lecturers of geography was adopted using well structured questionnaires, a total of 74 randomly selected students and 10 lecturers were interviewed. Data collected were further analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistics. The study shows that experiential learning is imperative in sustainable development and environmental sustainability and that philosophy and importance of experiential learning as an effective way of promoting environmental quality is being under utilized. It is suggested that experiential environmental education can be employed in enhancing attitidunal change toward environmental responsibility
