Signal transduction is an expanding field. There are many areas of signal transduction that are under the focus of scientists all over the globe. However oxidant signaling has been of the greatest priority because of its direct involvement with human diseases. Signaling mechanisms involving reactive O2 species (ROS) are being investigated for their roles in processes as diverse as the control of vascular tone, carotid body function, thrombosis, and proliferation. This book highlights the recent advances made in the field with special emphasis on key regulators of oxidant signal transduction.
