The purpose of this research work is to review the data collected by van Vleet, in the first case study, to establish analysis techniques and algorithms that can be incorporated into the SQL database as queries for future studies.van Vleet noted in 2004 that ?In order to accurately assess the implications of reverse auctions, it was essential to know and understand the behaviours of those who engage in the bidding process. Without a method of evaluating the process, it is impossible to clearly understand whether RAB is a success or not. Therefore, by creating a simulation or model of an RAB, this research was able to collect and analyze substantial data which will contribute to the further understanding of the implications that RAB will have on the construction industry.?This study reviews the data from van Vleet?s study to provide guidance in the development of tools to analyze subsequent case studies using the SQL database developed for Gregory?s study in 2006.
