This research project entitled "Financial Performance with reference to Cooperative bank of Oromia S. C. contained an insight into the three major types of performance measurement models for banking businesses. The three models are: (1) The traditional model of performace measurement also called Ratio Analysis, (2) The CAMELS Model of Banking performance measurement, and (3) The Balanced Score Card (BSC), which is the latest performance measurement for banking businesses introduced in the year 1991. This balanced score card model is a comprehensive which overcomes the disadvantages of the former two models which are entirely depend upon the quantitative analysis of performances. Since BSC analyzes performance from both qualitative and quantitative points of views it will clearly reflect the performances of the banking business.
