The purpose of this study is to analyze the conflict between ethnic Oromo in Haro Limu Woreda of East Wollega Zone of Oromia and Yaso Woreda of Benishangul-Gumuz Regional State. To this end, qualitative research technique was employed. A total of sixty people were used as primary sources and relevant documents, reports and literature were used as secondary sources. Primary data collection tools included interview, focus group discussion and observation checklist. The collected data were qualitatively analyzed and interpreted. The findings indicated that the major causes of the conflict between the two Woredas were competition over farmland and grazing land, border disputes and lack of good governance. Furthermore, the conflict was exacerbated by proliferation of small arms and light weapons, corruption and crimes like animal looting as well as due to the historical enmity which took place during the slave trade. Finally, conclusions were drawn and pertinent suggestions were made based on the major finding of the study.
