Taphozous kachhensis (Dobson) is an exclusive Indian Emballonurid bat found in caves, tunnel and temples. Despite the considerable information available on the histology of the ovary in some bats, literature related to study of ovary during different phases of reproductive cycle is scanty. The detailed study of histology of ovary of Taphozous kachhensis during different phases of reproductive cycle has been undertaken because earlier no such study has ever been made on this Microchiropteran species.
