This study investigated the community perceptions on the socio-economic benefits of education for both males and females. Reading against the grain of writings on socio-economic benefit, that ill adaptedly tend to divorce or negate how these socio-economic benefits are determined. This study reveals how different factors accrue to socio-economic benefits of education which inter-alia include age, sex and number of years spent in school. In accounting for the perceptions on socio-economic benefits of education of the community, conveniently called Chelstone, this study examines some of the insights held by people (parents and children) on what really education should or can do for them.
