The management of diverse information has gained utmost importance in the healthcare community. The biggest hurdle in passing the information seamlessly across the enterprise is the lack of integration and interoperability. A key challenge was to provide a Framework to address these issues and simulate the integration of healthcare systems. Integrating the Healthcare Environment (IHE) defines a Technical Framework (TF) to accelerate the process of providing standard based interoperability among the healthcare systems. The main goal was to build integrated medical application for the execution of internet based IHE workflows. As interoperability and Health information exchange is more inclined towards the business concept instead of being technical. Hence another goal was to provide application integration using business process in Service Oriented Architecture(SOA) Environment. The implementation of IHE system in terms of business process will help to achieve the true practical interoperability in the field of Healthcare. There are several directions to proceed in future work such as security and coordination for complex scenarios.
