Task-based instruction(TBI) and form-focused instruction(FFI) are believed to be different in the interaction they lead to. In TBI and FFI the occurrence of interaction process characteristics ( Display questions, form-based feedback, teacher-regulated turn taking, and explicit error correction) were analyzed among thirty eight learners being taught by two different methods of instruction. the aim was to find the effect of these two pedagogies on teacher-student interaction. The data was collected and analyzed by descriptive and referential statistics. It was found out that teacher-student interaction was more more in TBI. Meanwhile, the occurrence of the interaction process characteristics were more frequent in FFI. The findings are considered to have certain implications for EFL pedagogies.
